In general, automobile insurance follows the vehicle. This means that the insurance is attached to the vehicle, not the driver. However, all insurance coverage is dictated by the terms of the policy, in coordination with the law. You should read the relevant policy to determine if there are any provisions regarding regular users (drivers) of the covered vehicle. Please remember that this is not intended as specific legal advice. It is merely an overview of general legal principles and is not intended to create an attorney client relationship. You should not rely on this communication without further consultation with an attorney.
