Minor injuries while a passenger in a bus which was struck by another vehicle in Brooklyn, New York. Who pays my Hospital emergency room fee? I own a motor vehicle. Does the bus company pay the hospital bill, my health insurance, or does my motor vehicle insurance?

Under New York's personal injury laws, insurance coverage for medical bills and lost wages goes with the vehicle. It is important for people injured in bus accidents to file a report and a claim with the bus company in order to protect their rights. Please remember that this is not specific legal advice, nor is it intended to create an attorney client relationship, nor should it be relied upon without further consultation. It is merely a general overview of New York negligence and/or medical malpractice law.
