HAUPPAUGE, N.Y. - A teenager has been killed when her car apparently lost control on a Long Island Expressway service road in Hauppauge. The road was closed for several hours after Thursday mornings accident. Suffolk County police say the 18-year-olds car crossed over three lanes of traffic and struck another car. The young lady's car then went off the road and crashed into a tree. The Medford resident was taken by helicopter to a local hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
