I just need to know if owners are legally responsible to salt an entire parking lot or just walkways and entrances?

In general, landowners are responsible to keep their property free from dangerous conditions, which can include ice and snow. Whether that duty extends to salting the entire parking lot depends on the specific facts of the case.
