Fall - Need To Retain New Attorney

My mother fell in our old apartment building about 7 years ago. She has had an attorney throughout these years, however her attorney now claims the building did not have any insurance at the time of her fall and that the case has come to a halt. Are there any other alternatives in a situation like hers, she is looking to retain a new attorney to possibly continue with her case. Thank you Cindy
