There are two separate issues in this case.
First, you must protect your right to recover money damages for your personal injuries by
retaining qualified and experienced personal injury lawyers. From the description you gave, it sounds like you have a strong personal injury lawsuit. The attorneys from our office can help you protect your rights to obtain medical coverage, compensation for your lost wages and most importantly in the long run, money damages for your personal injuries.
Second, you must be sure to notify your employer of the accident and, file a claim with your employer's workman's compensation insurance carrier. Since you were injured in the course of your employment you are entitled to this type of coverage which your employer is required to have. Workman's compensation can be complicated so you should seek the advice and representation of an attorney who
skilled in that area of the law. We can recommend and refer you to highly qualified workman's compensation lawyers.
Please remember that this is only a brief overview of the legal issues that are relevant to this situation. I cannot offer specific legal advice in this format and you should not rely or act on this advice without contacting our office.
