I was walking to the cash register with a few items in my hand when I slip and fell - the store
may have just polish the floors but there was no "caution" signs - I made a report with the manager - should I go to the doctor today??

You should only seek medical attention if you are injured. If you are injured you should seek treatment right away, or else the store's insurance company will deny that your injuries are related to the fall.
In order to prove liability against a store owner in a situation like this, you have to prove that they either created the dangerous condition that caused you to slip or they knew about it and didn't fix it.
